A folder in my eM Client linked to Gmail first showed up in grey with its sub-folders hidden and has now vanished completely from the folder list. Restarting eM Client did not bring it back and I’m not sure whether a usable backup exists. The task is to locate and restore that folder (and every sub-folder) so it appears normally inside eM Client and synchronises again with Gmail. If a repair of the local database is needed, or IMAP re-sync, please handle that without risking other data. Should the folder only exist on the Gmail side, guide the necessary re-mapping so it returns to view in eM Client. Deliverables: • Folder and contained messages fully visible in eM Client and mirrored on Gmail • Brief step-by-step summary of what you did, so I can repeat the fix if it happens again eM Client version details, logs, and remote access can be provided once we begin.

Hi, The grey folder followed by a complete disappearance usually points to one of a few things: a broken IMAP subscription, a renamed or deleted Gmail label, or a local database issue in eM Client. The good news is that if the label still exists on the Gmail side your emails are almost certainly safe. I would start by checking your Gmail labels directly to confirm the folder exists there, then work through an IMAP resubscribe and forced resync within eM Client. If the local database needs repairing I can handle that without touching your other data or accounts. Once everything is restored you get a short step-by-step summary of exactly what was done so you can fix it yourself if it ever happens again. Can you confirm which version of eM Client you are running? I can start immediately once we connect. Please reach out through chat so we can discuss a little more Regards, Mituka

Hi there. Restoring this safely depends on confirming whether the folder still exists in Gmail labels, eM Client local database, or only in cached IMAP data. The risks are forcing a resync that hides more folders, damaging local mail data, missing Gmail label mapping, duplicate folders, and losing unsynced messages. I would first check Gmail labels and IMAP visibility, then inspect eM Client logs, folder settings, database health, and backup options before repairing or resyncing. Is the folder still visible in Gmail web? Are you using POP, IMAP, or Google OAuth sync in eM Client?

Hi, I can help you recover and restore the missing Gmail-linked folder in eM Client and ensure it resynchronizes correctly without risking any of your existing mail data. I’ve worked with IMAP sync issues and eM Client database behavior before, and I’ll carefully diagnose whether the folder is: * hidden or detached locally in eM Client’s database, * desynced due to IMAP state changes, * or still present on Gmail but not properly mapped back to the client. My approach will be safe and non-destructive: * Inspect sync logs and account IMAP structure * Force a controlled IMAP resync / folder subscription refresh * Repair or rebuild the local cache only if necessary (without affecting other folders) * Remap or re-subscribe missing folders so they reappear correctly in the tree view * Verify two-way synchronization with Gmail after restoration Deliverables: * Fully restored folder and sub-folders visible in eM Client * Confirmed synchronization with Gmail (no missing or duplicated items) * Short, clear step-by-step summary so you can repeat the fix if it happens again I can start immediately once you provide version details and access. Thanks for considering my proposal. Thanks.

Hi, This is a known eM Client and Gmail IMAP sync issue and I can restore your missing folder without risking any other data. My fix approach in order: ✅ Check Gmail directly to confirm the folder and sub-folders still exist as Gmail labels ✅ Check IMAP folder subscriptions in eM Client under Menu, Accounts, Gmail, IMAP — the folder may simply be unchecked ✅ Force a folder list refresh by right-clicking the Gmail account and selecting Refresh Folder List ✅ Run eM Client's database repair tool under Menu, Tools, Repair if the folder still does not appear ✅ Re-add the Gmail account in eM Client as a last resort, in a way that forces full re-sync from Gmail without deleting local data Please share your eM Client version and I will begin immediately.

Hi, I can help recover the missing folder and get it syncing properly with Gmail again. I’ll first check if the folder still exists on Gmail, then review the folder subscription/mapping in eM Client. If needed, I’ll repair the local database and trigger a safe re-sync for just the affected folders (no risk to your other data). Once done, the folder and all its sub-folders should be visible again and syncing normally. I’ll also share a short guide so you can repeat the fix if it happens again. You can share logs or access whenever you’re ready, and I’ll take it from there.
