Homo Sapiens here. I have developed several image processing and video capture applications using libcamera/libusb over the years, using dslrs with usb interfaces and capture cards with dedicated video cameras. Some of those using python. I've also developed several networked applications using various C++ messaging libraries such as the Boost asio libraries for which there are mqtt libaries. I'd love to get a look at what the current python application does to come up with an accurate bid.
