I'm developing a board-game based on 1950s-era B-movies, and I'd like a box cover illustration.
I'll take care of adding all of the visual elements (title, number of players etc) and most of the back of the box - I'd like a illustration I can use as the background.
The game is based loosely on the movie "Them!", so the poster can be used as a reference of the sort of area I'm interested in going, although I'm looking for a landscape illustration. It will need to be printed 300DPI on a box of currently unknown size, but will probably be no larger than 30cm wide by 20cm tall.
Looking for a daytime desert landscape, clear sky, with a giant ant somewhere in the scene (in-game, they are intended to be the size of a horse or small car, not a house).
Creative freedom for exactly where the ant(s) might be and how they should be featured. You could potentially have a single ant cresting a dune in the relative distance, the face of the creature close-up to the box, or just the shadow of it and a single leg entering from the side. If you want to draw swarms of them, let me know.
The artwork does NOT have to be an actual painting. A digital illustration or even a photographic mashup with an effect applied to give it that 50s movie poster/brush-stroke/pinup look would be OK (and is in fact how many art assets in the game were created)
The name of the game is as yet undetermined.
Priority given to people who really read the brief and don't give robotic responses.
