I want to be able to copy some of my sites with the httrack program, and put them back up as astatic sites under a name that has changed the extension – e.g., [login to view URL] to healthwrights.info. I have downloaded the sites I want to work with, and they can be re-produced on my personal computer with a browser. I have also placed the files in the public folder of the site using my host server’s cpanel. (See attachment. )
I can get the site to display perfectly by putting this address in the address bar:
On the other hand, if I just put the URL in the address bar – which is what people would do who were looking for the site – I get this message: “Forbidden --You don't have permission to access /[login to view URL] on this server. Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.”
I am not wanting someone to correct this for me. I want someone to explain what the difficulty is and walk me through the process of making it work – so that I can do it next time.
