Technical Specification (Terms of Reference) Project Title Integration of Viessmann ViCare, Bosch iConnect, BTicino Netatmo, BTicino MyHome SCS, Sonos Audio System, and UniFi Ecosystem into Home Assistant Project Objective The objective of this project is to create a fully integrated smart home ecosystem using Home Assistant as the central management platform. All supported devices, services, sensors, HVAC systems, audio systems, networking equipment, and building automation components shall be integrated into a single Home Assistant environment with centralized control, monitoring, automation, reporting, and user dashboards. --- Existing Systems 1. BTicino - BTicino MyHome SCS - BTicino Netatmo - Lighting control - Shutters and blinds - Scene management - Energy monitoring (if available) 2. Viessmann - Viessmann heating and energy systems - ViCare platform - Heating control - Temperature monitoring - Energy monitoring and reporting 3. Bosch - Bosch iConnect ecosystem - Thermostats - Sensors - Security devices - Other Bosch connected devices available on-site 4. Sonos - Sonos multi-room audio system - Zone management - Media playback control - Integration with Home Assistant automations 5. UniFi - UniFi Network - UniFi Protect - Access points - Network monitoring - Cameras - Presence detection and occupancy-based automations --- Scope of Work The contractor shall: Analysis - Review all installed systems and devices. - Verify compatibility with Home Assistant. - Identify integration methods and limitations. Home Assistant Integration - Integrate all supported devices and services. - Configure Home Assistant according to best practices. - Create a structured device hierarchy. - Ensure reliable communication between all systems. Custom Development Where native Home Assistant integrations are unavailable or insufficient, the contractor shall: - Develop custom integrations. - Develop custom APIs. - Develop middleware solutions. - Develop scripts and automation services. - Develop MQTT-based integrations where necessary. Automation Create advanced automation scenarios including but not limited to: - Lighting automation - HVAC automation - Energy optimization - Occupancy-based automation - Security automation - Sonos audio automation - Notification and alert systems Dashboard Development Create professional dashboards including: - Building overview - HVAC overview - Energy monitoring - Security monitoring - Camera integration - Audio system control - Device status monitoring --- Technical Requirements The system shall: - Operate through a single Home Assistant instance. - Support remote access. - Support role-based user access. - Support mobile applications. - Maintain stable operation after Home Assistant updates. - Use secure communication protocols. - Provide backup and recovery procedures. --- Deliverables The contractor shall provide: Configuration - Fully configured Home Assistant environment. - Device integrations. - Automation workflows. - Dashboards. Documentation - System architecture documentation. - Integration documentation. - Network requirements. - Backup procedures. - Recovery procedures.
