I'm interested in building a website where I can share news for quarter-mile racing audiences with different sections of interest (such as rules to participate, tuning tips, mechanical advice and others).
I also would like it to have a calendar of race events where people can see detailed information of each event (future and past events).
I also need a fixed section on the page where visitors can see the current state of the race track (opened/closed, current weather) but I need this information to be persisted for statistical purposes later on (how many days we were opened/closed, the wheather was good/bad, etc).
There would be another page where we show Top X times made in quarter-mile races, with information of the lane of the track the time was made, the car that made it, the event when it occurred, etc.
Users can register (with Facebook) and see a personal profile where they can also register their cars/motorcycles with pictures, features and category.
The car categories would be defined by an admin through an interface for that purpose.
The admin would store times of each race during an event, selecting the cars that participated on the race from the list of registered cars, the lane (left or right) each car raced, their time and whether they won or lost the race.
These records would be visible by the registered users in their car's details page.
I don't have any preference on the technological stack used for the project, but Wordpress is considered as "desirable". Again, I'm open to other platforms.
Need it to be agile to develop as more features are likely to be added progressively.
