Freelance Paris Creative Consultant & Trend Director for Fashion Brand We are a fashion brand focused on exceptional craftsmanship, premium leathers, elegant silhouettes, and contemporary luxury. We are looking to establish a long-term creative collaboration with a Paris-based fashion professional who can become an extension of our creative team. This is an ongoing freelance collaboration rather than a one-time project. Role Overview We are seeking a Paris-based Creative Consultant who is deeply immersed in the Parisian luxury fashion industry. The consultant will help shape our seasonal collections by bringing authentic Parisian design perspectives, trend forecasting, luxury market insights, and original creative concepts. The goal is not simply trend reporting but contributing to the creative direction of our brand through continuous design collaboration. Responsibilities * Research emerging luxury fashion trends in Paris and Europe. * Identify upcoming colour palettes, materials, textures and finishes. * Suggest handbag and footwear silhouettes before they become mainstream. * Share mood boards and seasonal inspiration. * Develop original product concepts and sketches. * Recommend trims, hardware, embellishments and construction techniques. * Suggest leather finishes and innovative material combinations. * Monitor runway collections and luxury fashion presentations. * Visit luxury boutiques and department stores to observe consumer preferences. * Provide monthly market intelligence reports. * Share photographs and observations from luxury retail environments (where permitted). * Recommend packaging, branding and presentation ideas inspired by contemporary European luxury. * Participate in virtual design meetings. * Collaborate with our internal product development team throughout the design process. Deliverables For each approved concept, the consultant may provide: * Mood boards * Inspiration references * Colour direction * Material recommendations * Product sketches * Technical design suggestions * Trend reports * Seasonal creative presentations Desired Background Applicants should preferably have experience with one or more of the following: * Luxury footwear design * Luxury handbag design * Fashion accessories * Creative direction * Fashion trend forecasting * Product design * Luxury retail buying * Fashion consultancy Experience working with European luxury brands is highly preferred. Skills * Strong understanding of Paris luxury fashion. * Excellent sketching or digital design ability. * Knowledge of premium materials. * Strong visual presentation skills. * Awareness of seasonal fashion cycles. * Excellent communication in English. * Ability to work independently. Preferred Qualifications * Based in Paris. * Degree in Fashion Design, Accessories Design, Luxury Brand Management or similar. * Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate or equivalent software. * Existing knowledge of European suppliers is a plus. Engagement * Long-term freelance collaboration. * Flexible working hours. * Remote, with occasional visits to Paris luxury districts, trade shows or exhibitions when relevant. * Payment will be based on approved concepts, design contributions or a mutually agreed monthly consulting arrangement. Intellectual Property All approved concepts, sketches and creative work produced under this engagement will become the intellectual property of our company upon payment, unless otherwise agreed in writing. The objective is to provide us with first-hand market intelligence and creative insights rather than relying solely on online trend reports. Responsibilities include: * Visiting luxury boutiques and observing current handbag and footwear collections. * Studying emerging design trends, silhouettes, colour palettes, materials, hardware, textures, craftsmanship, and display concepts. * Identifying recurring design themes across multiple luxury brands. * Reporting on seasonal merchandising strategies and visual presentation. * Preparing concise market reports with observations, trend analysis, and creative recommendations. * Sharing mood boards and original concept presentations inspired by the Paris luxury market. * Recommending how emerging trends can be interpreted into our own design language while maintaining originality and avoiding imitation. * Monitoring changes in consumer preferences, luxury shopping behaviour, and product positioning throughout the season. The consultant is expected to act as our creative representative in Paris, continuously providing authentic insights into the evolving luxury fashion landscape and contributing to the long-term creative direction of the brand.
