I am reposting this bid because I am looking for multiple versions of this redesign. I will continue to award a new design every few days until I get about 10-15 different designs. I will accept more than one submission from the same country. Below is the original posting.
Please note that the two previous bids were accepted based on customized work samples.
I am interested in the cultural differences in emotional design of visual graphics. I have a computer simulation of the Ideal Gas Laws created by a U.S. designer and would like this image redesigned by non-U.S. graphic designers for possible use in your own country.
The individual components must be kept intact, but all aesthetic elements can be changed according to the judgment of the designer. This includes: color, size, shape, placement, dimension, font, etc..
The designer should consider these questions: How would this image look if designed for a student in your own country? What visual design would be more emotionally appealing to a student in your own country?
The deliverable should include:
1. An image in any format such as a scanned, hand-drawn color sketch or a computer generated image. The primary goal is to capture the artistic/aesthetic sensibility of the non-U.S. artist/designer.
2. A written description of your visual design choices. For example, tell me why you think a particular color would be more appealing to students in your own country. Or why certain shapes or patterns are more appealing.
I am NOT looking for any animation/simulation work. Due to the minimal requirements of this proposal, only bids under $40 will be considered. All I want is a simple still image reproduction. A simple .jpeg file is OK. It is likely that I will have future proposals for more detailed work on this image for application to the existing Flash script.
The last winning bids were submissions from India and Germany. These designers submitted on spec which made is easier for me to make the award. Attached to this proposal is the original U.S. designed image.
I am seeking a portfolio of 10-15 different versions of this image from 10-15 different countries.

This job is NOT on behalf of New York University. It is an individual project by a doctoral student.
