We need a modern responsive website. Something like [login to view URL] or [login to view URL] but we don't need a video in the background but we like the landing page to have a large background photo. The technology used should be main stream enough to be able to hire other developers in the future. We will also need the developer to give 2-3 suggested hosting companies for the site. The site should be able to handle 10,000 visitors per day and have ability/plan to scale.
The design assumes 3 main pages. A main landing page with introductory information, a section with article links, and two links to go to the other two pages. A second page that has user preferences that can be updated by the user. And a third page that contains the bulk of the interactive information.
We need a banner that floats at the top of the page. This should tell the user their name if logged in or give them a link to follow to log in. The banner also needs to be able to help the user navigate the site.
The third page that contains the interactive app, will have interfaces to places of interest, hotel data, air data, and rental car information. At the top of the page should be a Google Map interface showing all the data that is selected on the different sections of the page. To get the data for this page, the developer will have to interface with the travelocity api and/or other travel site api's and pull data depending on the location the user chooses.
The full trip information that the user selects needs to be able to be saved so the user can continue where he left off if he returns to the site later. The user should be able to save multiple different trips and reload them. The final step is to be able to book the trips using the travelocity api from this site.
Please contact us with the technology you are considering using, your experience or links to other sites so we can see your work, and a rough estimate of cost. We will reach back out with more details and conversation to talk through and finalize the project.
