I run a WordPress blog and often reference other URLs. Up until now I've been using iFrames code, which is ugly and awkward for the user, and I've seen discussion that some website hosts don't like people using iFrames with their pages.
What I want is a product like a Facebook post with as little work on my end as possible. I posted in a forum asking if anyone had this code and was told it could be found in the Facebook Developer's area, but I don't know how to use that area. I thought maybe I could find the code by viewing Facebook's source code, but when I looked at that it made my head hurt - I only have a little coding experience.
I do my blog posts in the "text" pane using HTML, not the visual panel, so I want the Facebook code to use on my blog. I'd like to be able to paste that code into my post, paste in the appropriate URL, and have it show:
1) The linked URL
2) The page's headline
3) An image from the page
4) the first few lines of text
Since I am not a coder this seems like a simple thing to provide me. I'd like you to tell me if and where you can find the code and how much that costs, or why it's not as simple as I think it is and what I'd need and the cost.
Images below might help clarify what I'm after. Thanks.
