I am looking for a website programmer well versed in Boonex Dolphin (PHP, CSS and MySQL) who can rebuild a site using Boonex Dolphin v7 from a site originally designed using Dolphin (version [url removed, login to view]) and utilizing Longtail's JW Player.
I need clean, compliant coding. The goal of this project is to redesign and streamline the focus of my site by removing currently unused modules from the Dolphin v6 site and creating a more polished, professional, responsive and easier to upgrade and manage Dolphin v7 site. The site should look, respond and function the same on all browsers and devices. Due to customizations in my current v6 site, it will require a rebuild more so than a direct upgrade to Dolphin v7. The goal of rebuilding will be to take advantage of Dolphin v7’s mobile app, member video, profile and photo albums, web cam uploading, and video embed uploading features. These four items are critical to the rebuild. Experience and being able to show sample work of them all is a plus.
If you’re a programmer who requires a design to get started, I am open to discussing this and setting up a freelancer design contest with your guidance regarding specs, to acquire the assets needed for the design component. A useable and approved design will be the first step in this project.
I want a responsive site that utilizes color accents to distinguish clearly between four different profile types. I would like a simple design unique to my site and to maintain the use of the page builder blocks within the template design so as to have the greatest control in adjusting the layout via the admin panel.
The only modules I wish to manifest on my site are profiles and videos. As for main menu tabs, I’d only like to show Videos, Profiles, Categories and Upload.
I want the customized features that were added to my v6 site to be added and hopefully improved (in some instances) to the new v7 site, but definitely incorporated accordingly into the new v7 design. These v6 customized features included: admin designated albums (that show on specific page types but list content based on that page’s info or user search criteria), greater admin control, an advertising module (focused on video, text and banners), profile-to-content relationships and profile type specific properties and fields, keyword and location based searching, security improvements, etc.
Most importantly I need the 2000+ members (content, database data, profile fields, passwords, etc.) from the v6 site transferred to and accessible on the v7 site seamlessly so there’s no interruption in service when the v7 site goes live.
With upgrading, I want to take advantage of all the v7 features, especially the ones that focus on videos and that will increase and expedite adding members: mobile app, web cam uploading, video embedding, etc. My v6 site uses JWPlayer. I would like to reimplement this to take advantage of the features JWPlayer offers, unless the Rayz Player will allow me to do the same now. So I need reassurance one video player (JWPlayer or Rayz) will support web cam uploading, video embedding, pre roll video ads and post roll video ads, for example.
I tried to provide as much info as possible up front in the attached pdf document to help you determine if you would like to bid. Considering the scope of the v7 rebuild will comprise of fewer modules I anticipate the rate and time to complete the v7 site will be much less than went into the v6 site. For interested parties, I will be happy to provide screen shots, further details and my v6 site’s URL. Thank you for your interest. I look forward to discussing this further with you and working with you in the near future and hopefully long term.
