WPMUDEV Auto Blog
Modern Tribe Events Calendar Pro
The task to be completed will be making Events addition via RSS feed, Shortcode for latest event (today & upcoming events), club admin adding tickets and see tickets being sold.
This also includes options that will restrict club admin from accessing other sections at admin dashboard.
We are currently entering the final stages before Beta testing for our Wordpress-based event ticket selling website. The main purpose of this website is to allow people to find the latest and greatest parties and events in a few clicks.
We have all of the necessary Plugins installed already, but we need some troubleshooting and tweaks done in order for them to work in the correct way we need them to. We also need a bit of integration work as far as the Dashboard goes.
Auto Blog/Events Calendar/WooCommerce integration:
The main purpose of our website is to allow sell event tickets. The events are being updated via RSS, which will then travel to the Auto Blog plugin, which will create new Events in the Event Calendar Pro app, which will have tickets available for sale through the WooCommerce integration.
Auto Blog Issues:
Our custom RSS feeds are not registering through the plugin, therefore not creating new Posts/Pages. We need them to. This needs to be resolved, and is on the top priority list.
Events Calendar Pro Issues:
We need a short code that will display a list of 5 events that are taking place TODAY. We also need to tweak the widget that displays UPCOMING EVENTS on the homepage so the background color is not white, but black.
The CSS of the actual Events page needs to be tweaked so the font color doesn’t blend in with the background color of the header items.
WooCommerce should not give the Club Admin any access to posting a new product category, considering there will only be one category (tickets).
The Dashboard needs to only show what is absolutely necessary for Club Admins to post their tickets through our website. We would also like to get rid of the typical “Wordpress Dashboard” look, and have it integrate better with our website’s design.
