Text-to-Spreadsheet Data Entry

I have a folder of typed documents saved as plain-text (.txt) files that need to be transferred into a single spreadsheet. Most files follow the same order of fields, though there are a few minor layout variations, so a quick visual check on each file is required before pasting the data into the correct columns. Scope of work • Open each .txt file, review the content, and copy the information into the spreadsheet template I will provide. • Adjust for those slight format differences so every row ends up fully aligned with the header columns. • Keep original spelling and punctuation intact—no rewriting or re-formatting beyond placing content in the right cell. • Spot obvious missing fields and leave a comment in the notes column when they occur. Deliverable A completed Excel or Google Sheets file containing all transferred data, ready for me to run filters and pivot tables. Accuracy and consistent column alignment are the key acceptance criteria. There are roughly 250 files in total, most under a page long, so clear attention to detail and steady throughput will make this go smoothly.
