I have a live mobile app running on both iOS and Android that relies on the Google Maps API. Everything functions except one critical feature: the zone cut-off. At the moment users can pan endlessly and the service area isn’t being respected, so requests come in from locations we do not serve. Your job is to dive into the current codebase, track down what is preventing the polygon- or radius-based boundary from activating, and deliver a clean fix that works consistently on both platforms. Once the bug is resolved, I need a short explanation of the change and a new build I can push straight to TestFlight and Google Play internal testing. Acceptance will be simple: if I open the updated app, attempt to place a pin outside the predefined service zone and the action is blocked with the correct message, the work is complete.

I’ve fixed this exact Google Maps boundary bug in cross-platform apps: usually the polygon or radius check isn’t firing, or the map ignores the current region. If you’re using Flutter or React Native, I can step into the native or JS layer as needed to patch the logic for both iOS and Android. You’ll get: working zone restriction (block out-of-bounds pins with the proper alert), a brief summary of what was missed or broken, and fresh builds ready for TestFlight and Google Play uploads. Is your current service area stored as a hardcoded polygon, or do you manage it through an admin or config file? That changes where I apply the fix. Reply with your stack and access flow, and I’ll get this locked down for you. Pradeep

Hi — Nemanja here from Serbia. I see you need to fix a Google Maps zone cutoff issue in your existing iOS and Android app where users can currently select locations outside your service area. The main challenge is identifying why the existing polygon or radius validation is not being applied correctly across both platforms while keeping the current map functionality stable. I can help inspect the current implementation, trace the map API logic, fix the boundary validation, and make sure users are properly restricted before submitting requests. I’ll focus on creating a reliable solution with correct location checks, clear user feedback, and a clean update that can be tested through TestFlight and Google Play internal testing. I’d like to know the current app technology stack and whether the service zone is managed through polygons, radius rules, or backend location validation. Looking forward to discussing your project.

Hello, Your Google Maps zone cut-off is failing, so users can drop pins outside the service area on iPhone and Android. I’ve spent the last 4 years fixing exactly these Mobile App Development issues, and I will trace the Google Maps API boundary logic, verify polygon or radius validation during pin placement, enforce the restriction in the current flow, test both platforms, and provide a clean build plus a short change summary. I’d be happy to share relevant portfolio examples and discuss the timeline and quotation. Best regards, syed ribal

I can fix the service-zone enforcement without rebuilding the app. I’ll first identify the mobile framework and trace how the polygon or radius is loaded, how pin placement is validated, and where the current check is being skipped. The fix will separate map browsing from service eligibility: users may view the map, but a pin or request outside the configured zone will be blocked with the correct message. I’ll test inside, outside, and boundary-edge cases on both iOS and Android, then provide the updated builds and a concise change note. Please confirm the framework, whether the zone is stored as GeoJSON/polygon coordinates or a radius, and whether the repository currently builds successfully. I can start immediately.

Hi. I understand you already have a live app, and the only issue is that the Google Maps service area restriction isn't being enforced. The goal is to identify why the zone boundary (polygon or radius) is being ignored, fix it on both iOS and Android, and ensure users cannot place a pin outside the allowed service area. I'm fully capable of handling this. I have experience with mobile applications, Google Maps API, location validation, and cross-platform debugging. I can review the existing implementation, identify the root cause, implement a reliable boundary check, and make sure the behavior is consistent across both platforms. I'll deliver the fix, test it thoroughly, provide updated builds for TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing, and include a brief summary explaining the root cause and the changes made. I'd like to discuss whether your service area is currently defined by a polygon, radius, or GeoJSON, and which mobile framework the app is built with (Flutter, React Native, native, etc.). Looking forward to working with you.

This project immediately caught my attention because it is exactly the type of work I do best. I’ll fix the polygon/radius zone cut-off so users can’t pan outside your service area; the map allows endless panning and requests from unserved areas. I'll deliver a clean, professional, user-friendly fix and TestFlight/Play builds. I’ll debug iOS/Android, patch boundary checks, and supply a summary. While I am new to freelancer, I have tons of experience and have done other projects off site. If this sounds like what you're looking for I'd love to hear more about your project. Hi - the acceptance test you wrote is the right one, so let me answer it directly. Two things get tangled together in this bug, and fixing only one is why a zone "sort of" works: 1. Endless panning is a camera concern - the map's bounds restriction isn't applied. That's containment, and it's cosmetic. 2. Blocking the request is a validation concern - the pin must fail a point-in-polygon (or radius) test before the request can be submitted. The most common reason a boundary "never activates" is that the containment check runs against a zone that is still loading. The polygon is empty at that moment, every point tests as valid, and the check silently passes. So the fix I'd expect: load the zone before the map is interactive, run containment on the confirm action rather than only on pan, and surface your out-of-zone message. One thing I'd rather say now: if that check only lives in the app, an out-of-zone request can still reach you from an older build. I'd mirror the same check on the endpoint that accepts the request - same polygon, same answer. That's what actually stops the requests you don't serve. To be accurate I need repo access and the stack. Native Swift/Kotlin or a Cordova/PhoneGap-style web view I can fix and build. If it's React Native or Flutter, I'm not the right person and I'd rather say so up front. You'd get the patched source, a build for each platform, and a short note on what was wrong. Pushing to TestFlight and Play stays with you.

The Google Maps zone cutoff issue is preventing the service area boundary from being respected, allowing users to place requests from outside the designated zone. I will deliver a fix that activates the polygon- or radius-based boundary, ensuring requests are blocked with the correct message when attempted outside the predefined service zone. I will provide a clean and consistent solution that works on both iOS and Android platforms, along with a short explanation of the changes made. To confirm, will the existing codebase be provided for review or will access be granted to the current development environment. I will build and deliver the updated app, ready for internal testing, and propose we chat to lock in the exact scope and get started.

Hello, I can quickly identify and fix the issue preventing your Google Maps service zone restriction from working on both iOS and Android. I will review the existing implementation, debug the polygon/radius boundary logic, and ensure users cannot place a pin outside the predefined service area. If a user selects a location beyond the allowed zone, the app will correctly block the action and display the appropriate message. I will verify the fix on both platforms, keep the existing functionality intact, and provide a clean, well-documented solution. After completing the fix, I'll share: * Updated source code with the boundary issue resolved * A brief explanation of what caused the problem and how it was fixed * New production-ready builds for TestFlight and Google Play Internal Testing * Testing confirmation to ensure the feature works consistently across Android and iOS I focus on clean code, proper debugging, and reliable cross-platform fixes. I can start immediately and keep you updated throughout the process. Looking forward to working with you.

Hey, I've worked with the Google Maps API on live iOS and Android apps before, zone cutoff bugs like this are usually a boundary check that isn't being re-validated properly on pan or zoom, or a polygon/radius comparison that's silently failing. I'll dig into your current codebase, find exactly where it's breaking, patch it so the service area is enforced consistently on both platforms, and hand you a new build for TestFlight and Play internal testing along with a short writeup of what was wrong. I'm new to Freelancer as a platform but this kind of fix is exactly what I handle day to day, can start right away.

Hi there, I can quickly diagnose and fix the Google Maps service zone issue on both iOS and Android. My approach: * Trace the existing location validation logic to identify why the polygon/radius restriction isn't being enforced. * Implement a robust boundary check using the existing service area (polygon or radius) before allowing users to place a pin or submit a request. * Ensure users outside the service area receive a clear message while maintaining a smooth experience within valid zones. * Test thoroughly on both platforms and provide production-ready builds for TestFlight and Google Play internal testing. You'll receive: * Clean, well-documented fix with no impact on other map features * Short technical summary explaining the root cause and solution * Updated Android and iOS builds ready for testing One question: Is your app built with Flutter, React Native, or native iOS/Android? Hi, I can help you fix the Google Maps zone cut-off issue in your existing iOS and Android application. I understand the problem — the map is currently allowing users to select locations outside your supported service area because the polygon/radius validation is not triggering correctly. I can review the existing codebase, identify the issue in the location validation flow, and implement a reliable fix. My approach: • Review current Google Maps API integration • Debug polygon/radius boundary logic • Fix location selection restrictions • Ensure consistent behavior on both iOS and Android • Add proper user messages when locations are outside the service zone • Provide updated builds for testing (TestFlight & Google Play internal testing) • Share a brief explanation of the changes made We have experience working with mobile apps, APIs, maps, and location-based features, so we can quickly analyze the existing implementation and resolve this issue without affecting other app functionality. Please share the current app details and code access, and we can get started. Thanks, Webix Infotech

Hi, I can diagnose the boundary check and deliver a focused cross-platform fix that prevents pin placement outside the configured polygon or radius, shows the correct message, and keeps map panning separate from service eligibility. I currently build cross-platform Flutter applications at Beeco and work full-stack. I’ll reproduce the issue with your zone data, identify the coordinate-order, radius, or event-callback problem, add deterministic inside/outside tests, then provide tested iOS and Android builds plus a concise change note. Bid: ₹5,500, delivery: 3 days, conditional on the repository building and test credentials being available. Which framework/version is the app using—Flutter, Cordova/PhoneGap, or native—and is the zone stored as polygon coordinates or center/radius?
