The platform itself is comprised of two (2) distinct modules: Destination Catalogue Maintenance and the Sustainable Travel Guide. As a web-based application our users will access the platform from any device anywhere in the world.
This project is a multi-year endeavour expected to be operational on a global scale with partners and clients from all over the world. We are currently in year two of our five-year plan.
We are now reaching the end of the design phase and are preparing for the development activity to begin. Our plan is to release the platform in three (3) stages:
Alpha Test: This initial phase is expected to begin in early 2020. Our test participants are being selected and they will be asked to evaluate the effectiveness and usability of the key features of the platform. Completion: February 2019.
Beta Test: This phase is expected to begin in spring 2020 and will be focused on the evaluation of the search engine. Completion: June 2020.
Catalogue Population: This phase is expected to begin in autumn 2020 and will be used to evaluate the full functionality of the platform, with specific focus on User Experience (both Destination Managers’ and Travellers’). Our participants will run a full suite of tests to determine if the product is ready for market. Completion: October 2020.
After this final cycle the platform will be launched and opened up for engagement by Destination Managers around the world.
We are looking for energetic and enthusiastic Web Developers to help us bring this project to life. The initial assignment and deliverables are for the completion of the Alpha Test Phase only.
ASSIGNMENT AND DELIVERABLES
The scope of this assignment is to develop only the subset (reusable) components functionally with very minimal User Interface development. These components will be evaluated through the Alpha Test Cycle. The design, mock ups and color schemes are already prepared and will be shared with the developers to help guide the build process.
Upon successful completion of the Alpha Test deliverables, further deliverables will be defined to enable the delivery of features necessary in order to complete the Beta Test Phase.
