Google Ads conversion tracking for WordPress contact forms Goal: Fire a Google Ads lead conversion on successful form submit. Capture and submit ad click IDs: gclid + iOS fallbacks wbraid / gbraid (persist ~90 days). Populate hidden fields on our forms and pass values into CRM. Stack / Context: WordPress (Avada theme). Form is standard WP form plugin or HTML (you can advise). We’re not asking for GA4 events—Ads only. Scope: Add a lightweight site-wide (or landing+form pages) script or GTM equivalent to store gclid/wbraid/gbraid in 1st-party cookies and auto-fill hidden inputs. Add hidden inputs to the forms (gclid, wbraid, gbraid) and confirm they reach the submission payload/CRM. Configure a Google Ads Conversion tag in GTM using our AW ID + Label, triggered by thank-you page or a custom event on submit. (Optional) Enable Enhanced Conversions for Leads (email/phone mapping). Deliverables: GTM container export or code snippet + clear install steps. Acceptance tests: Using test URLs (?gclid=TEST123), IDs persist and appear in the form payload. Ads conversion tag fires (GTM Preview) on submit/thank-you.
