Style Clean, simple. Use of greyscale primarily, a bit of colour here and there for emphasis and to attract the eyes to important parts of the page. I have a logo and it should remain similar but changes to font and the icon is fine. Other changes can be made so long as the same basic shape remains the same ie a circle part and a rectangular part. This is primarily so I can get away with using my existing stationary etc without it being too inconsistent with the website. The target demographic is busy professionals, a lot of couples, many with young families. There is also a market in the retired/semi-retired bracket and for professionals working from home so it should be able to appeal to reasonably wide audience. If at all possible play on the fact that we are offering them a slice of something very special, something that nobody else knows about, we're their little secret. I'd like the use of reasonably large, clear fonts with good contrast for easy readability. The website will need to be reasonably efficient because internet speeds here can be slow. I am open to template-based designs as well as completely original designs. I expect Flash will be a necessary component. (See attached file for an example) Functionality The server platform is Linux. MySQL is installed as is PHP if required. Information to display, probably each on a separate page but this is flexible: * Home/sales page * Secrets Page * Company information * Cleaning personnel * Quote page * Testimonials * Services * Our Favorite Secrets Home/Sales Page - This is the key page. I'd like to start this with something along the lines of "Shhh.... don't tell anyone you've found us!!" "Our clients tell us we're one of the best kept secrets around and we'd like to stay that way." "But since you have found us feel free to have a look around and see if maybe we can become one of your favorite little secrets too. Or maybe you'd like to share one of your secrets with us. Tell us a secret place you like in [city we are based in] for that matter, tell us a secret about your boss (no need to name them of course), or even a little secret about yourself. Secrets Page - This page will have a small form for posting a secret to the web page with the option of entering an email address and receiving secrets by email. Once a secret is entered I'd like it emailed to an account for approval. I'm thinking that maybe I could somehow use a forward approved emails to a different email address which will then somehow appear on the site. Anything posted to the site would also be emailed to people on the mailing list, obviously with the option of unsubscribing. I'd also like this page to have a little section with "our favorite secrets" - this might be links to other websites or small selective ads. (Open to any mailing list management solution) Company Information - This page will have a few paragraphs about the business. Cleaning Personnel - This will have a couple of brief paragraphs about each staff member and an accompanying photo, I'd like this to function so that I can have up to about 20 people on here without it getting too long or two cluttered but I'd also like it to look good with just 4. Maybe an indexing system of some description. This page will need to be able to be changed without too much hassle (might need a database or content management system for this ... or maybe there is a better way?). Perhaps at the top of this page a short paragraph about how secretive our personnel are) Quotes Page - I'd like this page to have a form for inputting a persons details such as name, phone number, address etc. And a comment along the lines of fill in your details now and we'll organize for one of our staff to rendezvous with you and provide a quote. Once this form is filled out it will be saved to a database and emailed to an email account so we can respond immediately. Testimonials - I'd like this setup to look pretty much the same as the personnel page.
