I'm very interested in this project. I am bilingual in Chinese and English. I currently live in North America. I have been working in the investment field for over eight years. I did a preliminary research on this group and its bonds and found there were a lot more public news published in Chinese than in English. Tonghsu is a big private player in China, a top 500 domestic private company and has over 16,000 employees. There are complex corporate structures and the holding company is a private firm with very limited disclosure. According to the online media, the cause of the 2019 domestic bonds was the short term liquidity issue which seems to be directly related to a failed refinance with local banks. The announcement of the default also resulted in strong reactions from local investors including big domestic banks and mutual funds.
