Here is a much simpler version: UK Accountant Required to Review a Director’s Loan Account I am looking for a UK-qualified accountant who understands UK company and tax law to explain how a Director’s Loan Account can be used for the following types of entries, and why an accountant would choose to post them through the DLA. The entries include: * Third-party investor funds * Dividends * Personal credit-card expenditure used for company investment and refurbishment costs * Sundry debtor balances * Ordinary shares * Payments made personally on behalf of the company * Other year-end adjustments and reallocations * Amounts used to clear the final DLA balance I would like the accountant to explain: * whether each of these types of entries can properly be posted through a DLA * why this may have been done * whether any of the entries should instead have been recorded elsewhere * whether the DLA treatment created any tax consequences * how the DLA was ultimately cleared The records cover the period from 2019 to 2023. I can provide the DLA ledgers, trial balance, Corporation Tax computations and HMRC correspondence for review.
