Hello, this is my project:
I receive an Excel file with thousands of products from my distributor almost every week, updating the current products prices, and quantity in stock, as well as adding newer products sometimes. I need to create a better system to update my current stock and prices, so I can upload them to my eBay store.
My project has 4 parts:
1) Is to use my current Excel file and the new stocklist file and compare and update the quantities in stock and prices on my existing Excel file. If there are new products, bring the information from these new products to my current spreadsheet with all the information.
2) Use the newly updated excel file with all products, and look at each product and go to 3 websites of my competitors, to search for that product number, scrape the prices and the quantity in their stock, and bring them back to my Excel spreadsheet. If there is no data on any of the 3 website, return the value Zero or not available. Once all the data from all my products from the 3 websites are filled on my new spreadsheet, we will do some simple calculations by comparing the 3 prices and do a suggestive price for me to sell, like maybe 10% above the lowest of the 3 competitors, if the 10% is above my real cost.
3- This part is just data transfer from this master spreadsheet above to another simpler spreadsheet with some specific column headers for me to upload that CSV file to my eBay store, which i will do it using the eBay File Exchange.
4- More data comparison of my Excel CVS file from all my products already on eBay with prices and quantities with my newer updated and created file. I will explain more later.
Please let me know if you recommend this project to be done with just Excel using VBA or macros or another simple solution, that I could be able to change simple stuff on my own.
