Project Title: WooCommerce Product Scraper Plugin for WordPress (Optional Chrome Extension) --- Description: We are seeking an experienced WordPress & Web Scraping Developer to create a custom WooCommerce Scraper plugin. The tool will allow us to extract product data from WooCommerce-based websites and export it to CSV or Excel (with WooCommerce or Shopify import-ready templates). An optional Chrome Extension to trigger scraping directly from the browser is also welcome. --- Core Requirements: A. Scraper Core: Detect and scrape WooCommerce stores. Handle pagination and dynamic content loading. Extract product details: Title Regular & Sale Price SKU Stock Status Categories Attributes & Variations Short & Long Descriptions Product Images (download actual files + URLs) (Optional) Product Reviews (text, rating, author, date). Respect [login to view URL] and implement throttling/rate-limiting. Proxy support for avoiding IP bans (optional in MVP). B. Export: Generate CSV and Excel files. Provide WooCommerce and Shopify import-ready templates. C. WordPress Plugin (Admin Interface): Settings page in wp-admin: Input URL(s) or category page to scrape. Start/Pause jobs with a progress bar. View logs (successes, errors, number of products scraped). Download CSV/Excel output. Adjust scraper settings (throttle, retries, proxies). Compatibility: WordPress ≥5.8, WooCommerce ≥5.x, PHP ≥7.4. D. (Optional) Chrome Extension: Manifest V3 extension. “Scrape This Page” button that triggers backend scraping. Connects to the plugin or a lightweight backend API. E. Deliverables & Documentation: Clean, well-documented code. Written user guide (setup, usage, troubleshooting). Video walkthrough (optional but preferred). --- Project Milestones: 1. Technical Specification & Wireframes. 2. Scraper Core Development (pagination, product data extraction). 3. CSV/Excel Export Functionality (WooCommerce & Shopify templates). 4. WordPress Admin UI (job management, logs, settings). 5. (Optional) Chrome Extension. 6. Testing & Bug Fixing (3 different WooCommerce stores). 7. Final Documentation & Delivery. --- Preferred Tech Stack: PHP (WordPress plugin development standards). Node.js or Python with Playwright/Puppeteer for scraping (or PHP libraries like Goutte if more suitable). PhpSpreadsheet or similar for Excel/CSV generation.
