I have an automotive restoration shop that I need help with creating an Excel spreadhseet for. The spreadsheet/tool would allow me to view each project individually but also allow me the ability to have a "10,000 ft view" of what the entire shop is doing. How many hours were billed to this project this week? How many hours were unbillable? How many hours of labor did we pay? What are some things that might hold us up? What was our price per hour charged to the customer after allowing for efficiency adjustments?
As for the project tracking, I would really like to try and intergrate a gant chart to forecast the progress of each project and hopefully stay on schedule. There would be quite a bit of information coming in. The most important thing is tying it all together for a great overall view of the company's status in that particular period.
