I have a multi-tab MS Excel file that I use to import daily data for analysis from the financial markets. Using Excel for Office 365 is so much slower than my previous version of Excel 2007. There must be a way to optimize Excel office 365. I have a Macro that opens about 60 text files that I import and then run another macro to close those 60 files. Excel for Office 365 takes 5 times longer to open and close all these text files than Excel 2007. Calculation has been set to Manual so it is not calculating each time a file is opened. I need Excel Office 365 to run at least as fast as Excel 2007 if not faster. This is also the beginning of more work to improve this spreadsheet for someone who is very good with Excel.
