LabVIEW Automation of Calibration Workflow

I am migrating an established, MATLAB-based calibration routine into a single, turnkey LabVIEW application. The existing workflow already drives an oscilloscope and a multimeter via VISA, acquires raw traces, runs proprietary processing algorithms, and finishes by compiling the results into a structured Excel report. I need the exact same flow reproduced in LabVIEW—only fully automated, operator-friendly, and rigorously validated against the current MATLAB reference. Scope • Instrument control: direct VISA (or equivalent) communication with the oscilloscope and multimeter, including setup, triggering, trace retrieval, and health/error handling. • Data handling: implement the present MATLAB algorithms in native LabVIEW, preserving numerical fidelity to ensure each computed value matches the reference within agreed tolerances. • Report generation: automatically populate the existing Excel template, embedding plots, pass/fail flags, and metadata exactly as the MATLAB script does today. Validation Side-by-side runs against the MATLAB baseline must show identical outcomes on a representative data set before I sign off. I will supply the reference scripts, sample data, and a short validation checklist. Deliverables - Complete LabVIEW project (source, compiled executable, and build specs) - Excel report template with automatic population hooks - Inline code comments plus a concise user/setup guide (PDF) - Validation log documenting the MATLAB vs. LabVIEW comparison results Acceptance is reached when the LabVIEW solution produces an Excel report whose numeric contents are within the defined tolerances of the MATLAB output for all supplied test cases, while running end-to-end without manual intervention.
