I work as a cost planner and want to find an easy way to Import cost data from an Excel file into an Excel template that we have. Our Project databank Software is called modelogix. From this Software we can Export data as an Excel file. At this Moment, we manually have to copy the data, and paste it into a specific Excel worksheet within the Excel Template. Our template compares Projects side by side with each other. So the process would look like this. 1. We Export the relevant Projects and all their Information from Modelogix into an Excel file, we then save the file, we will call the file ''Test'' for now. 2. I open the template Excel dokument, Chose the sheet where i want to data to be imported into. 3. Now i want to be able to click somewhere, where i have the Option to Import the ''Test'' files Information. The rest of the templates worksheet are all linked to this worksheet. So the Moment this worksheet gets populated with the info, the rest of the template would be filled out automatically. All These links are allready made. Hope the above makes sense. I have attached a copy of the Template (KGS Vorlage), and a copy/example of the exported data (Vorlage Test). The last two worksheets in the template are the ones the same as the exported worksheets. Its these worksheets that all the where all the data for the template Comes from. I dont want to manually copy and paste the data anymore. I want to be able to Import it directly into These two worksheets,

Hello, I'm making Excel programs for more than 20 years. Your goal is to import some data from modelogix software to an predeterminated Excel File, where all the formulas are already set. I"m not sure I understand the second point of your description, where you precise you want to choose "the sheet where i want to data to be imported into." I noticed all the sheets have different purpose, and I think the import should be allowed in a specific worksheet, with the adapted template. So I think you mean you want to create a new file, based on the template, where the "test" sheets will be added at the end of the workbook. Those sheets will be used as reference to automatically fullfill the others sheets of the workbook. I have some ideas to program it, but I will need first to agree with you on the future behavior of the excel template (what will exactly happened when you click on the "import" button, etc...).
