V & L Plumbing Inc. is looking for a self-motivated, responsible and well-organized Bookkeeper/Secretary for a full time or part time position. We are taking applications and look forward to speaking with you to set up a interview.

Full time or part time hours available
Standard 8:00 am to 4:30 pm business hours
Flexible start times
One week paid vacation after one year of employment
Two weeks paid vacation after two years of employment
All paid Holidays that fall Monday through Friday
Warm and friendly/family workplace environment
$12.00 to $14.00/hour starting salary based on work experience
Opportunity to join our Sar/Sep Retirement Plan after two years of employment
Your responsibilities in bookkeeping would include the following:
Efficiant in Quickbooks Accounting Software
Electronic payroll, A/P and A/R weekly
Invoicing current jobs in progress each month
Filling our required AIA G702/G703 forms for invoicing
Requesting Vendor waiver's needed for payments
Acquiring Notary Public Seal State of Indiana (fee's paid by V & L)
Send out pass due Invoice reminders monthly
Receive and record cash, checks, and receive credit cards payments
Answer the phones, screen calls and take messages
Preview emails daily and forward as required
Enter time card hours (data entry) for pay role into Quickbooks
Use Google Sheets to retrieve Plumbers electronic time cards weekly
Preparing job proposals on Word
Produce job progress/cost reports
Check for accuracy in figures, postings, and bank reconciliations
Prepare bank balance sheets and daily/weekly banking
Prepare and submitting Plumbers Union Reports
Schedual and invoice service work
Make out deposit slips for bank deposits
Prepare Business Taxes for Accountant
Pay Pay Role taxes
Create Excel spreadsheets
Calling in Plumbing inspections as required and sending confirmation of inspection request completed
Job requirements are:
One year using Quick books Software (most recent experience
on resume or resent classroom experience). One year of performing full charge bookkeeping or equal. Provide birth certificate and valid drivers license and High school diploma or equal. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple task simultaneously. Exceptional attention to detail with excellent communication skills. Strong work ethic "whatever it takes" attitude. Must be decisive and work well under pressure. Confident in one's abilities and able to work independently, with minimal directing after training.
