I’m in need of a macro that will take data from multiple reports and combine them into one. Below are the report requirements and logic along with an attached Report Layout to provide further guidance.
The logic is fairly simple and the [login to view URL] report contains all data elements except for the First Name, Middle Initial, and Last Name.
The lookup reference between the two reports will be the EMPLOYEE ID. This is unique and there should only be one row for each employee. Duplicates can be removed once you remove the rest of the unnecessary data in the report. For confidentiality purposes, I have removed unneeded data and changed the sample data elements.
Each [login to view URL] file will contain the corresponding [login to view URL] which may make it easier for you when combining the various files. Cell C3 will match the EMPLOYEE IDs that are in Column E in the [login to view URL] file.
The macro should have a simple button that will run the process once the files have been placed in a central folder and then place the output file in the same folder. Reply with MERGE when bidding so I know you read the full specs. When the macro is finished running, it should save the file as Employee Census and have the current date as well. The format will be CSV. Example: Employee Census [login to view URL]
