We’re looking for an experienced writer who will proofread and write additional content for an American-English learning game in an award-winning Brain Training app.
The game asks users to remove the unnecessary/wordy phrases in a sentence.
For example: "The student’s exams are totally complete." The word totally can be removed in this sentence. A sample video of the game will be provided, along with a premium version of the app to test it.
You will proofread 900 short sentences. For each sentence we need the below:
1. Proofread for any spelling or grammatical mistakes. Most of the sentences are fine, but a few might require changes.
2. For each question, explain why the unnecessary phrase is not needed in a short sentence.
3. Evaluate each question if it has a definitive answer. If the answer is subjective, or has multiple solutions, then provide an alternative question with a single clear answer.
For example: “the boiling hot water.” Either boiling or hot could be removed from the phrase. So this question has two answers and needs to be changed.
We will start by working on a sample of 20 questions, then proceed with the full set later.
