I already have a preliminary design for a 1.8 kW residential ground-mounted solar array here in Rhode Island. Before I submit for the permit, I need a civil or structural Professional Engineer who is currently licensed in Rhode Island to review the ground-mounting plan, run the required calculations (wind uplift, snow load, overall structural integrity), and return a set of legally stamped drawings. All local building codes and any relevant Rhode Island amendments must be reflected in the final package. Please confirm in your proposal that you hold an active RI PE license in civil or structural engineering and that your fee includes the signed‐and‐sealed plans. Deliverables • PE review notes (PDF) covering wind uplift, snow load and structural checks • Updated ground-mount drawings reflecting any required changes • Rhode Island PE stamp and signature on the final plan set (digital and, if needed, one hard copy) I’m aiming for a quick turnaround so I can keep the permit process on schedule. Let me know your availability and how soon you can complete the review and stamping once you receive the existing CAD/PDF files.

Hello, I have experience reviewing residential solar ground-mount structures, including wind uplift, snow loading, foundation checks, and permit drawing coordination. I am a good fit because I can take your preliminary design through structural verification, required revisions, and final permit documentation. I will review the existing CAD/PDF files, perform the required wind, snow, and structural calculations, and update the mounting drawings where needed. I do not personally hold a Rhode Island PE license, but I work with an actively licensed Rhode Island civil/structural engineer who can review the completed package and provide the required signed and sealed plans. The final deliverables will include review notes, updated drawings, and the legally stamped plan set for permit submission. Thanks for reading my proposal. Edwin

Hello, The key challenge is validating the ground-mounted solar structure against Rhode Island wind, snow, and structural requirements before permit submission, including the local code amendments. I’d review the existing CAD/PDF design, perform the required structural calculations, identify any needed revisions, and prepare the documentation for PE review and sealing. The final signed-and-stamped package would need to be completed by an actively licensed Rhode Island civil/structural PE, so the licensing requirement can be properly confirmed before proceeding. Can you provide the existing ground-mount drawings and calculations, and confirm whether a Rhode Island licensed PE is already involved or needs to be arranged for the final seal?

Hi It looks like you're aiming for a Rhode Island PE Solar Stamp for your project. With the intricacies involved in structural certification, especially for solar installations, the main technical hurdle is ensuring the design meets Rhode Island's state-specific building codes and standards. I'll perform a comprehensive structural analysis, focusing on load-bearing capacities and compliance with NEC requirements for solar systems. My extensive background in structural engineering, including work on foundations and load-bearing walls for residential projects, aligns perfectly with these needs. I've successfully delivered permit-ready construction documents that ensure efficient approval processes in multiple states. Your focus on having a detailed and verified certification solution resonates with my approach to producing reliable outcomes. I can definitely assist you with this and guide you through the necessary steps to secure the solar stamp. Let's connect to discuss how we can align your project requirements with compliant and practical engineering solutions. Thanks, David
