I need a project to build a device, an integrated rfid tag reader with gprs.
It will be used in a store on a POS checkout
It cant be cost more than USD50 per device
What I need is an RFID reader device that should be instaled next to the store checkout. This device should read the UHF Gen2 RFID tags , store the information (EAN13) and then transmit data through the GPRS interface to a data collection service. The device must be capable of storing up to 1,000 readings offline.
In addition to the EAN13 information, the device should store information of the tag serial number, reader identifier (unique) and tag reading date/time
So: EAN13 + tag serial number + # reader + date/time
The project in question requires:
- Schematic of the device which includes board design, parts, and required;
- Firmware and source code of the controller software to log every RFID tag in its range and than submit it into a server in the internet, preferably using SSL encryption.
The device should (preferably be USB powered) have medium range (50cm to 100cm) RFID tag reader, internet connection using GSM (3G, GPRS), and a micro-controller
