Image processing in Matlab


We need a very specific image processing algorithm developed and coupled with a easy to use UI. The app designed is fairly straight forward and simple which requires scrambling of images in a randomized manner developing an algorithm used to compare 2 pixels and then output a new pixel based on the results of the comparison, this comparison will be done to every pixel in the image.

In addition, the app should instead of also using one pixel at a time should also be able to use larger pixel area of 90 pixels by 90 pixel area as well as for a 60 pixel by 60 pixel areas to distinguish the scrambled images in terms of difficulty. If the single pixel can be done than looping for larger areas should be easier. Also the app should have a feature to also be able to detect and scramble images by edge detection. Since software used is Matlab which has this feature, developing an algorithm to integrate the edge scramble option or the pixel scramble option should be an easy to use UI.

The app will be used in a psychological experimentation whereby the scrambled images will be compared and the visual stimuli stimulated by the patients will than be monitored. The above designed UI should have an easy to use interface for non technical personnel to be easily able to use.

This app will have an extensive use for experimental studies to understand some sick patients and we are looking for someone who has extensive knowledge on matlab coding and is able to develop this software in quick time but also have flexibility in making some changes as the requirements of the project deem fit. We are also looking for someone to be able to deliver this project in the space of next two weeks as the UI developed is needed for the clinical studies to be done quickly.
