Requiring a software to be paired with any hardware eg windows/raspberry pi or similar. The system runs a tractorpull sledge, where it takes a positive 12v signal from a metering wheel (hall effect sensor) with 40 pulses per 1.2 meters, and controls a proportional hydraulic solenoid valve to increase pressure gradually to the set 'max distance'. This 'max Distance' needs to be easily adjustable. Needs to have a RS485 output to an LED screen which we currently already have with our existing system. This screen displays a live current distance. The main screen should have a start and stop button. the stop button will kill all power to the solenoid and change the LED screen to the set 'message' (also needs to be editable). When Start is pressed, The LED screen needs to Flash 'READY' then the 'Set Max Distance" continuously until the metering wheel starts to move and count up the meters. Above 5 meters, if the metering wheel doesn't get a signal for 2 seconds, the run needs to stop counting up, flash the LED screen the last distance twice and hold that number whilst killing power to the solenoid. What we have -Metering wheel complete with PNP hall effect sensor (looking at upgrading to radar) (the pulse per meter would be a added bonus if its calibratable) -LED Screen able to take RS485 signal. -Needs to run on a 12v system and able to stand harsh conditions. -Central Tractorpull Facebook Page will show good insight to what the system needs to do. Attached is schematic of the current system - looking to simplify it and use off the shelf hardware with updatable software.
