I need a complete electronic design for a next-generation health-monitoring smartwatch whose signature element is a high-resolution micro camera mounted flush to the wrist side of the case. That camera will analyse the wearer’s skin to extract deeper, image-based health insights beyond the usual heart-rate and SpO₂ readings. I am open to your proposals on exactly which metrics image processing can reveal, provided they are scientifically sound and can be handled by an embedded processor in real time. Core hardware requirements • High-resolution skin-facing camera, paired with a wearable-class microprocessor powerful enough to process or compress the image stream on-device. • Minimum 16 GB on-board storage for captured data. • Bluetooth for data sync, a vibrant TFT display for UI, magnetic snap-in battery charging, plus a USB port that lets me upload new firmware or diagnostic tools. Scope of work You will take the concept from architecture to board files: component selection, schematic capture, multilayer PCB layout, enclosure-aware routing, power management, and camera integration strategy. Please balance size, battery life, and heat dissipation while safeguarding signal integrity for the high-speed camera lines. Preferred toolchains are Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle—use whichever allows you to supply production-ready outputs. Deliverables (acceptance criteria) 1. Complete, error-free schematic (PDF + source). 2. Gerber and drill files ready for fabrication. 3. Bill of materials with part numbers and supplier links. 4. Pin-clean board layout that passes standard DFM checks. 5. Brief firmware stub or reference code proving camera capture, storage write, and Bluetooth transfer all operate as designed. If any step requires trade-offs—sensor resolution versus processor load, for example—flag them early so we can decide together. Once I have the files in hand I’ll move straight to prototyping, so accuracy and clarity are essential.

Being a seasoned electronic engineer for over 26 years, I have garnered immense experience in various fields including medical devices and defense applications like submarines and drones. From creating communication systems in war machines to wearable health devices, I have excelled across the board. With a specialization in embedded systems, RF and wireless protocols, IoT security, and more, I possess the valuable skills necessary to create your Skin-Facing Camera Health Smartwatch. My proficiency spans languages such as C/C++, RTOS Development (FreeRTOS, Zephyr), and IoT Security & Cryptographic Implementation. This combined with my knowledge of edge AI and TinyML (TensorFlow Lite Micro) ensures that I not only understand how to develop a powerful microprocessor but also how to balance its capabilities effectively to optimize results.

Hi, I am applying as a senior embedded hardware engineer specializing in wearable IoT and high-speed mixed-signal PCB design. I have 10+ years of experience delivering 40+ multilayer PCB systems, including BLE wearables, camera-integrated embedded devices, and low-power edge AI prototypes. I have also reverse-engineered 20+ commercial boards and shipped 15+ production-ready hardware products with up to 35% power optimization improvements through power-tree and RF redesign. Approach: ✅ I will define the full system architecture using a wearable-grade SoC with MIPI-CSI camera interface, onboard ISP, BLE SoC integration, and secure flash storage selection. ✅ I will design the schematic including high-speed camera lanes, PMIC power sequencing, battery charging (magnetic dock), TFT display interface, and USB firmware/debug path. ✅ I will implement a Multi-layer PCB layout with controlled impedance routing, thermal spreading strategy, and enclosure-driven mechanical constraints validation. Questions: ✅ I will clarify which image-derived biomarkers you prioritize (e.g., perfusion index, vascular patterning, erythema mapping) to ensure the processing pipeline is clinically meaningful and computationally feasible. ✅ I will confirm your target camera resolution, frame rate, and storage retention policy to balance real-time processing load versus 16GB onboard memory constraints. Best, Yaroslav

Hello, This project aligns very closely with my experience. I have previously developed a biometric sensing health smartwatch, including sensor integration, low-power design, and wearable PCB architecture, so I fully understand the constraints of size, skin-contact sensing, power, and thermal limits. With 10+ years in embedded systems and PCB design, I can take your concept to a production-ready, high-performance wearable device. Why I’m a strong fit -Proven experience with biometric wearable devices (including smartwatch development) -Strong background in camera integration + embedded image handling -Expertise in low-power design, BLE systems, and compact multi-layer PCB layout -Experience balancing performance, heat, and battery life in tight enclosures What I will deliver -Complete schematic + PCB (DFM-ready) -Optimized camera + processor architecture -Stable power and thermal design -BOM with in-stock components -Firmware stub proving camera capture → storage → BLE transfer I will also clearly flag any trade-offs (resolution vs power vs processing) early, so we make the right decisions before layout. My focus is not just making it work—but delivering a robust, manufacturable smartwatch design. Let’s build this right from the start.
