Hi, I have experience developing Arduino/ESP32 prototypes that integrate proximity/magnetic sensing, addressable RGB LEDs, embedded firmware, and compact electronics for interactive devices. I have completed systems with 10+ sensor/LED channels, custom PCB/protoboard integration, and fully documented hardware/firmware suitable for functional proof-of-concept validation. Approach ✅ I will define the sensing method for piece position/orientation using Hall sensors, reed switches, NFC/RFID tags, or another suitable passive solution after reviewing the game mechanics. ✅ I will build the Arduino/ESP32 hardware architecture, LED feedback logic, power distribution, connectors, and commented firmware with clear state handling for each game piece. ✅ I will optimize the electronics for hidden installation beneath the rigid base and lightweight cardboard pieces, then validate detection reliability, orientation recognition, and LED response timing. Questions ✅ How many pieces must be detected simultaneously, and must the system identify only presence/position or also each piece’s unique identity and orientation? ✅ What are the approximate base dimensions, maximum thickness available for hidden electronics, and expected battery or mains power source? Best, Yaroslav

Dear Client, Yes—this is feasible, but the real challenge is not simply connecting an Arduino/ESP32 to sensors and LEDs. The critical part is reliably detecting each game piece’s presence, position and orientation while keeping the electronics compact, hidden and robust inside the base and lightweight pieces. PCB Must Innovations brings 30+ years of electronics experience across embedded systems, Arduino/ESP32, sensor integration, LED control, custom electronics, prototyping and hardware validation. Profile: https://www.freelancer.in/u/electronicsdone I can own the complete PoC: Arduino/ESP32 selection, proximity/magnetic sensor or passive-tag detection, hardware wiring, RGB LED control, schematic, component selection and prototype assembly guidance. The amateur trap is making one sensor and one LED work perfectly on the bench, then discovering that ten pieces inside a real game board have different detection behavior. Haha, prototypes have a funny way of exposing assumptions. I’m happy to offer a free consultation first so we can define the number of pieces, detection method, board dimensions, LED arrangement and game logic before hardware is finalized. One question: approximately how many individual game pieces must the system detect simultaneously? Message me with that answer and I’ll outline the cleanest sensor, electronics and firmware architecture and milestone path before you commit. Kind Regards Prat PCB Must Innovations

Hello I am a Full Stack Engineer with 10 years of experience, providing Arduino, ESP32, sensor integration, RGB LED control, embedded firmware, and prototype development. In my opinion, the best approach is to build the prototype around a simple, reliable sensor architecture that can detect both the presence and orientation of each game piece. The ESP32 or Arduino can then process these inputs and drive the RGB LEDs with clear visual feedback while keeping the electronics compact enough to hide inside the base and pieces. This project is very similar to my previous works. I have developed embedded prototypes using ESP32/Arduino, proximity and magnetic sensors, LEDs, and custom control logic. I am also experienced in turning early concepts into practical, testable hardware prototypes. The most important skill is embedded hardware and firmware integration, because the sensors, piece detection, and LED feedback must work together reliably. I will design the wiring and firmware with clear comments so the system can be easily modified during testing. So, I will divide your project into three major steps. 1️⃣ Define the sensor architecture, components, wiring, and detection logic. 2️⃣ Build and program the Arduino/ESP32 prototype with sensor processing and RGB LED feedback. 3️⃣ Test the complete system and support the physical integration into the game base and pieces. I will provide the creative idea and good tech solution for your project. Best regards. Maksym

Ho tre domande: i. Preferisci Arduino o ESP32? ii. Quali sensori hai già scelto? iii. È disponibile un primo schema del gioco? Sono disponibile a valutare i dettagli dopo NDA e definire insieme tempi e compenso. Best regards, Md Ruhul Ajom

The primary technical risk is integrating multiple proximity/magnetic sensors and passive tags accurately within a rigid base and game tiles for reliable detection. I will build this by using an ESP32 for its processing power and Wi-Fi capabilities, connecting the RGB LEDs and chosen sensors via I2C or SPI protocols, and developing the firmware to manage the dynamic visual feedback. This will result in a working prototype of your educational game. What is the power source you envision for the prototype? Provide me with the exact dimensions and materials planned for the game base and tiles. My work here has earned a 5.0 rating across 10 reviews on this platform, also securing Preferred Freelancer status.

I've successfully developed interactive prototypes for educational games, similar to your requirement for a proof-of-concept using Arduino or ESP32. My experience includes integrating various sensors like proximity and magnetic readers to create engaging user experiences, ensuring robust and responsive interaction for young learners. My approach involves leveraging Arduino's extensive libraries and community support for rapid prototyping. I'll design a modular system for easy testing and iteration, starting with a core Arduino/ESP32 board. For the proximity/magnetic sensing, I'll evaluate Hall effect sensors or RFID/NFC tags based on the specific interaction fidelity and power requirements. I'll then develop firmware to manage sensor input, process game logic, and potentially drive simple haptic or audio feedback. To best tailor the solution, could you elaborate on the desired range and precision for the proximity/magnetic detection? Also, are there any specific power consumption constraints for the prototype? I'm eager to discuss how my technical skills can bring your educational game prototype to life.
