We are building a fuel tanker trailer monitoring system (pilot project) for petrol-PMS/diesel (AGO) distribution clients in our region. We have a detailed technical blueprint and now need: 1. Organizations/suppliers who can provide industry‑rated, ATEX‑compliant hardware (fuel level probes, smart GPS locks, telematics gateways, etc.) at prototype‑friendly pricing, ideally with OEM/white‑label options. 2. Embedded/firmware engineers and backend/API developers to integrate this hardware with our web/mobile platform via Modbus RS485, MQTT, and REST APIs. Note: This is a pilot project phase with ability to scale the concept to a wider client base after the tests. What We Already Have Complete system architecture and hardware list but need to know if we can get manufacturers with industry rated capabilities (ATEX capacitive probes, ATEX GPS padlocks, gateways, tamper nodes, power protection, LiFePO4 backup, RS485 isolators, enclosures, wiring, tools). Clear requirements: Manufacturers of these hardwares with flexibility in pricing, OEM/Whitelabelling Options RS485/Modbus integration for fuel probes. GPS + cellular gateways with store‑and‑forward. Smart locks that can be controlled remotely and capability to open only inside authorized geofences. Secure MQTT/HTTPS telemetry to our backend (ThingsBoard PE + custom APIs). Compliance awareness: NCC, SON, NMDPRA, NDPC (Nigeria Data Protection Act). Scope of Work A. Hardware Sourcing & Supplier Qualification Identify and qualify suppliers for: ATEX capacitive fuel level probes (RS485/Modbus). ATEX smart GPS padlocks for discharge valve boxes. Hey! I understand you’re building a pilot fuel tanker monitoring system combining ATEX/IECEx hardware, GPS tracking, smart locks, fuel probes, tamper detection, and IoT telemetry, with the goal of validating the complete solution before scaling it to more clients. I’d build this as a reliable IoT + embedded + backend system, using RS485/Modbus for sensors, ESP32/STM32 for secondary monitoring, Teltonika or equivalent gateways for connectivity, MQTT/ThingsBoard for telemetry, and FastAPI/Node.js with PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB for APIs and business logic. MY QUESTIONS: What tanker models, voltage systems, and compartment configurations will the pilot support, and where exactly will the probes, locks, and tamper sensors be installed? What fuel-level accuracy and reconciliation rules should be used to identify leakage, unauthorized discharge, or quantity differences between loading and delivery? How long should devices continue storing GPS, fuel, lock, and tamper data while offline before automatically synchronizing everything once connectivity returns? I'll be available anytime to chat. What does your calendar look like? Let's hop on a meeting to discuss your requirements and deliverables for this project. Thanks!! The budget and time frame are placeholders. I’ve reviewed your ATEX tanker telemetry brief and can align sourcing, firmware, and backend integration for a fast-start pilot with scalable potential. My background spans embedded systems, PCB design, and IoT deployments, with hands-on work in Microcontroller Programming (STM32 / ESP32), Internet of Things (IoT), and API Development. Plan-wise, I’ll map ATEX‑rated hardware suppliers, verify certificates, and negotiate prototype pricing with OEM/white‑label options. Firmware will configure the gateway for GPS, store‑and‑forward, and Modbus/RS485 sensors, with ESP32 nodes handling tamper detection and offline telemetry. Backend will expose MQTT to ThingsBoard and secure REST APIs. What are the top three constraints (cost, regulatory compliance, deployment timeline) you consider critical for the pilot’s success, and which KPI would define success in the first 6 weeks? Hi, I am an embedded systems engineer with over 16 years of experience developing industrial IoT, telematics, RS485/Modbus sensor interfaces, ESP32/STM32 firmware, secure MQTT telemetry, and backend APIs. I have delivered comparable vehicle tracking, remote monitoring, tamper detection, offline data buffering, geofencing, and automotive power-control solutions. I can support both supplier qualification and engineering. I will verify ATEX/IECEx certificates against official databases, obtain register maps and protocol documents, compare prototype MOQs/lead times, and assess OEM options. For integration, I can configure Teltonika FMC130-class gateways, connect Modbus fuel probes, develop the ESP32 tamper node, and implement store-and-forward telemetry and secure lock-control workflows. I can also connect devices to ThingsBoard and build the required REST/MQTT layer with tenant isolation, roles, audit records, and demonstration alerts. Relevant work includes RS485 industrial instruments, Teltonika-class cellular/GNSS gateways, ESP32 nodes, vehicle electrical protection, and API-connected access-control devices. These projects cannot be shared publicly, but I can show suitable examples privately. My pilot estimate is $150 for supplier qualification, $350 for firmware/integration, and $250 for the initial backend/API integration. Workstreams can overlap for delivery within 14 days, assuming hardware and remote test access are available; device, shipping, and certification-lab costs are excluded. Which probe and GPS-lock models are currently shortlisted, and is the ThingsBoard instance already configured? Please contact me to discuss details.

HI, KINDLY READ THROUGH MY PROPOSAL I can cover engineering integration (gateway, ESP32 tamper node, Modbus, MQTT, FastAPI/ThingsBoard) and supplier qualification for your petrol/AGO tanker pilot. I will verify ATEX/IECEx paperwork rather than invent certificates. A. Hardware sourcing Qualify ATEX capacitive RS485 probes, ATEX GPS padlocks, Teltonika FMC130 (or equivalent), IS RS485 isolators, 12/24 V protection, LiFePO4 backup, enclosures. Check certificate numbers/databases, Modbus maps, lock APIs, prototype MOQ, OEM/white-label B. Firmware / embedded FMC130: GPS, cellular, store-and-forward, Modbus fuel, MQTT to ThingsBoard. ESP32 node: tamper (door, cable, power), buffer + encrypt, truck power (12/24 V, reverse, transients). Geofence unlock only at authorised depots. C. Backend MQTT ingest, REST for trips/waybills, load-vs-delivery reconciliation, alerts, JWT/RBAC, multi-tenant, audit logs, regulator read-only views. Scope I can take Engineering + supplier shortlist and cert/API review. Final ATEX procurement is with the certified OEM; I will not white-label unsafe uncertified probes/locks into a hazardous area. QUESTIONS 1. Target tank count per trailer and probe protocol already specified in the blueprint? 2. ThingsBoard PE already hosted, or to be stood up? 3. Hardware-only vendors vs one team for A+B+C — which do you prefer to contract first? Ready to start from your architecture pack and produce a supplier matrix + integration plan.

Your pilot needs a reliable device-to-cloud chain, not just individual hardware integration. ✅ The critical part is qualifying devices first, then making RS485/Modbus telemetry, cellular store-and-forward, tamper events and secure MQTT reach ThingsBoard/backend consistently. ✨ I’d structure the pilot in three layers: hardware qualification → embedded gateway/node integration → secure API, alerts and multi-tenant telemetry. Tag-n-Trac is directly relevant: we’ve integrated BLE/NB-IoT gateways, MQTT, Azure IoT Hub and real-time monitoring; Farrow Tech used ThingsBoard with embedded firmware. ⚡ With over 25+ years of experience in software development and testing, we can take the pilot from bench testing to scalable architecture. ⭐ Deliveries: Supplier qualification • Gateway/ESP32 integration • MQTT/ThingsBoard • APIs • Testing & documentation

Hi, I can support this pilot across hardware qualification, embedded integration, and backend/API development for your ATEX tanker monitoring platform. My approach would be phased: • Qualify ATEX/IECEx fuel probes, GPS locks, gateways, RS485 isolators, power modules, batteries, and enclosures • Verify certificates, Modbus maps, protocol/API documents, MOQ, OEM options, lead times, and Nigeria shipping • Configure Teltonika/compatible gateways for GPS, cellular, Modbus and store-and-forward • Develop ESP32 firmware for tamper sensing, buffering, encryption and telemetry • Integrate MQTT with ThingsBoard • Build FastAPI/Node REST APIs for trips, reconciliation, alerts and audit logs • Implement JWT/RBAC and multi-tenant isolation • Provide API documentation, data models, sequence diagrams and test procedures I’m comfortable with ESP32/STM32, C/C++, Python/FastAPI, Node.js, MQTT, Modbus RS485, PostgreSQL, ThingsBoard and IoT telemetry architecture. I can handle engineering and supplier research remotely. Physical ATEX validation and final field/bench certification would remain with approved hardware suppliers/testing facilities. I’d suggest 1 week for supplier qualification, 1–2 weeks for firmware integration, and 1–2 weeks for backend/API pilot integration. Best regards Ankit

I've spent 20+ years on embedded C for ESP32 and STM32, RS485/Modbus sensor work and telematics gateways, and the FastAPI back ends behind them, out of an electronics and EE background, and I am in China where these probes and modules are made. The risk in this pilot sits in what happens when a trailer loses power and coverage mid-run and later replays its buffer. That gap is where a short delivery hides, so level, lock and tamper records still have to line up across it before a reconciliation figure means anything. Truck power is the other place these builds quietly fail, and ATEX paperwork that looks right on a PDF does not always hold up. 1) Probe and gateway proven on the bench before anything goes near a trailer, with the link and the supply taken away mid-run. 2) Tamper and lock kept on their own path, so an opened door or a cut cable is still on record while the gateway is dark, and the valve holds closed whenever position or the backend cannot be trusted. 3) Power handling and LiFePO4 backup tested against what a tractor unhook does to the trailer supply. 4) MQTT into ThingsBoard and FastAPI over Timescale with per-customer isolation, so a replayed buffer never counts a delivery twice and slosh in transit never reads as a discharge. Which gateway, probe and lock are you settling on, and who supplies the bench set? Please contact me to discuss the details.

Hi, I can source and qualify ATEX/IECEx tanker-monitoring hardware, then integrate RS485/Modbus fuel probes, GPS locks, and telematics gateways into your ThingsBoard/REST/MQTT stack. I’d verify certificate numbers, register maps, and protocol docs, then build the firmware path for Teltonika FMC130 or equivalent plus an ESP32 tamper node using C/C++, ESP-IDF, and buffered telemetry. On the backend, I can wire secure MQTT ingestion and Node.js/FastAPI APIs for trip management, alerts, reconciliation, and audit logs. For future rollout, I’d structure the device model, tenant isolation, and event pipeline so new probes, locks, and customers can be added without rework. That also helps with NDPC-aligned access control and traceability. I’ll bench-test Modbus reads, cellular/store-and-forward, power transients, and geofence-triggered lock actions before handoff, with source code, configs, docs, and test reports. I’m available in Nigeria time for coordination and can move forward on the supplier shortlist and integration plan.

Your need for an ATEX-compliant IoT system for tanker trailer monitoring, specifically integrating hardware via Modbus RS485, MQTT, and REST APIs, aligns perfectly with our experience in building robust, hazardous-environment telemetry solutions. We've previously delivered similar projects for clients in high-risk industries, ensuring reliable data acquisition and secure transmission from demanding conditions. Our approach involves sourcing certified, prototype-friendly hardware from established ATEX suppliers, prioritizing OEM/white-label options to maintain cost-effectiveness and brand integration. We'll then develop custom firmware for the telematics gateways, enabling seamless Modbus communication with fuel probes and GPS locks. This data will be securely transmitted via MQTT to our cloud backend, where we'll build RESTful APIs for your web/mobile platform, ensuring efficient and scalable data access. To best tailor our solution, could you clarify the expected data refresh rate for critical parameters like fuel level and GPS location? Additionally, what are your initial thoughts on the authentication and authorization mechanisms for API access? I'm available for a brief call to discuss these details and how we can accelerate your pilot project.

Hello, You already have the architecture and hardware blueprint; the pilot needs a reliable bridge from ATEX-rated field hardware → gateway/ESP32 → MQTT/ThingsBoard → secure APIs, with safety and auditability built in from the start. I can contribute to: * ESP32/STM32 firmware and tamper monitoring * RS485/Modbus fuel-probe integration * Teltonika/telematics gateway configuration * MQTT telemetry and store-and-forward workflows * FastAPI/Node.js REST APIs * PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB data models * JWT/OAuth, RBAC, multi-tenant isolation and audit logs * Trip/waybill, reconciliation and alert workflows * Bench testing, telemetry validation and technical documentation For hardware sourcing, I can help evaluate supplier documentation and integration compatibility, including ATEX/IECEx certificates, Modbus maps, APIs and prototype requirements. I would not claim existing manufacturer relationships or prior tanker projects unless verifiable. I’ll structure the pilot as: supplier qualification → hardware/protocol validation → firmware/gateway integration → MQTT/API layer → end-to-end bench testing → documentation. The $250–750 budget is likely suitable for a focused pilot integration phase, but the complete hardware + firmware + backend scope should be milestone-based. Could you share the technical blueprint and preferred probe/lock/gateway models so I can map the integration points and propose the first milestone? Best regards, Ankit
