I am looking for someone to create the software to run on a PIC Microcontroller.
I will need several versions of the software, for slightly different hardware configurations.
The software will be simple: In the case of all variations it receives asynchronous 250kbaud and decodes it based on the setting of 9 dip switches, and then produces an appropriate output - type dependent on variation.
1) n x 8-bit resolution pwm servo motor signal output
2) n x 8-bit analogue outputs
3) n x digital outputs
4) n x bi/unipole stepper motor outputs
5) n x LED brighness control (ultra fast strobing?)
The more flexibility, the better. I may want to be able to create hardware that has a combination of the above four variations, or change specifics of how the outputs behave in relation to the asynchronous serial input.
I believe this should be a simple project. However I will want to split it into three jobs or milestones: 10%, 30%, 100%, at each point there will be a working product so even if we decide to cease the project at that milestone there will still be something - For example, a simple variation from above spec.

we can do this. we have an extensive experience in micro design and implementation. we have already implemented a door lock using a microcontroller and servos and we think we can reus a lot of the modules there.
