I have designed a circuit for a very simple linear regulator to be used to for powering LEDs. It uses 16 AMC7135 LDO current regulator chips (datasheet and picture attached) and will be used in conjunction with a PWM controller board which is still under development.
Basically the AMC7135 chips are all connected in parallel with each other, and apart from some solder pads for I/O connections that is quite literally it.
I have started the Eagle PCB files but do not have the required skills to complete the board layout in a manner that makes it suitable for manufacture. I have created the AMC7135 library (using the datasheet but it may pay to check I did this correctly), a very simple schematic and the board file. I have placed the components in the positions I require them, and have also roughly routed the signal traces so as to show how I require the components connected.
What I have not done is correctly add component labels, legends, solder mask, a ground plane etc – basically everything needed to make this appropriate for commercial manufacture and assembly. I also have no idea if it would even come close to passing a design rule check....in fact I know it won’t.
I have attached 2 pictures of what I have done in Eagle so far, together with the actual eagle files (.sch, .brd and the libraries I created and used) as well as another picture explaining a few things. I created the SMD solder pads (for PWM etc) but this was because I really didn’t know what I was doing so if there are more appropriate solder points to use please do so.
So to summarise exactly what I require:
- I need the supplied Eagle files corrected and complete in accordance with typical manufacturing requirements. This includes the solder mask, silk screen, legend and so forth.
- I require these Eagle schematics as Gerber files so that I can have some prototypes made. You are not required to supply the printed boards...unless it is easy for you to do so. I could produce the Gerber files myself but would like you to produce them so that you can check them for consistency before the project is considered complete – I do not want to have to go back for corrections to problems I only find after I’ve had 100 boards made (which has unfortunately happened to me before).
I hope to have this completed in less than a week and at a hopefully reasonable cost. I will pay half of your nominated fee up front to commence work but will not pay the final amount until I am happy with what has been done. You can supply proof via pictures (as opposed to actual Eagle and Gerber files) if it helps.
Please message me if you have any questions or require further information.
