pump adjustable timer switch

I need to make a mains airpump (already purchased -see pictures) run for an adjustable amount of time when a switch is held down. Switch could be held down for 10 seconds but i only need the air pump to run for say 2 seconds (this time needs to be alterable). When switch is released system needs to reset so if pressed down again it will repeat action.

The switch currently in place in pump can be seen in the close up picture. any questions please ask.
