I am wanting a PCB design for a filter/crossover unit for my recording studio [So it is ideally pro quality components wise and passive] -
This is totally along the lines of a crossover unit for a Sub Bass unit, But with a few extra tweaks.
I'm wanting a circuit design made with the elements so I can get it built.
Computer output -> Filter Unit-> Splitter -> Main Speakers (High Pass)
-> Sub unit (Low pass)
Things required are
A] a variable crossover/High Pass Filter, in either switchable in e.g. 10Hz steps [30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100, 110]. I'm open to ideas or recommendations, but thought a DIP switch would suffice.
Alternately if the quality can be good/accurate enough a sweepable crossover that goes from 20Hz to 150Hz
The crossover should have some options for the slope of the filter e.g. 6, 12, 24dB
B] a time delay circuit [to allow the unit to be time aligned with other speaker sources at a distance]. For a distance of 1 to 10 Metres.
C] Inputs and Outputs - +4/-10 Stereo In - XLR ideally or TRS. Outs A] To Main Speakers (High Pass), B] To Sub (Low Pass)
D] A control to blend between the main speakers and sub [i.e. so can control the volume relationship]
