I'm a hydroponic grower. I grow using NFT channels. Occasionally one of the tubes that feeds water to the channels becomes clogged and water no longer enters the channel. This starves my plants of the nutrient solution it needs to grow and can sometime lead to death.
I'm hoping you can design a water detection sensor that alerts me when water is no longer flowing into the channel. I would also like this to be able to record when water has either stop flowing or started flowing. It can do this either by connection to a computer or to the internet. I'm willing to discuss any ideas you may have about this aspect, as I'm fairly in the dark about what it takes to record data over time. I've attached a sheet that describes my water in more detail. Feel free to contact me with any questions you may have.
My hope is to keep this under $50, so this should be a cheap, quick and easy sensor set up.
