Hello Felisha,
I understand you're looking for an editor for your book. I specialize in fantasy, science fiction, and romance but do occasionally take on other genres if your book falls outside those categories.
I'd love to help with your project. I'm great at finding inconsistencies, eliminating redundancies, and trimming wordiness. I provide a high-level edit covering the fundamentals of editing and proofreading as well as pointing out anything that might confuse a reader or need to be expanded upon.
These are the steps of my copyediting:
1. Check your document for obvious errors and formatting problems. This involves chapter and scene heading consistency, paragraph and line spacing, page breaks, etc.
2. Run Grammarly Premium to check for obvious spelling, punctuation, and grammar errors to prepare the document for reading.
3. Read through your manuscript noting writing style, structure issues, places your story loses focus, missing information, unanswered questions, and inconsistencies. I will also fact-check dates, names, places, etc., trim wordiness, and remove redundancies as part of this last step.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Jane
