Initially, we need help writing a 5 page synopsis of the plot of a screenplay as a part of a proposal.
It is a commercial action/romantic blockbuster and it is eventually based on the Freudian significance of dreams, perhaps spirituality, but the exaggeration of ordinary, everyday life creates a plot involving a somewhat post-Orwellian technological society in the near future as a major setting, classing it as sci-fi.
There are stories within stories and a story behind the novel. I wrote it as a novel a decade ago but loved the characters so much that dragging them through the hedge screaming was so traumatic that I could open it to edit it. As a trans-personal psychologist and spiritual guide, it became one of my therapeutic stories showing the relationship that we have with our spirit as the author of our book. Trapped in the present, we feel pain, fear and deception in life whilst our spirit knows why certain things must happen and that our pain comes from resistance to change.
I told this story of my book writing experience to a random client who turned around and told me that she used to work in Hollywood. She asked me to explain the story itself and that this had to be made into a movie. Soon I was hooked up with a screenwriter. We are about to start the sales process.
The plot has grown a few more layers since the original novel and the original was too raw, probably too explicit. The screenplay is written to PG 13. We are going to need a complete re-write of the novel at some point. Hopefully, this synopsis will lead to a far greater participation in the project, ghost-writing or co-authoring the novel, which may be easier to sell first and could form a path to selling the screenplay.
Bids should reflect that this is really just a trial for that long term relationship. And only those with the highest levels of experience and talent need apply. Please include supporting evidence to this effect in a PM.
