Help integrating DLL functions into Visual Studio project

I am trying to create some code for a Visual Studio project (coding in VisualBASIC language.) This code should be able to locate sample loop point data embedded in a WAV file. Ideally it could also replace this data and copy this data to other areas in the file.

My current attempts will look in the regular spots (including immediate header / “smpl” / “loop”) but it appears the proper loop information is somewhere else in the file.

There is open source code available for LoopAuditioner.. This is a software that works with loop points, and finds the correct data inside a WAV. if I could somehow call the functions in its code inside of my VB program, we should be able to get the necessary data every time.

I already have a basic Visual Studio apllication in the works; I would like help understanding how to add a DLL or library to my Visual Studio program, or how to integrate open source code to my project and call the functions.

I have attached an example WAV file along with the correct loop point information I'm searching for in the file. I can provide additional example files and anything I’ve found out thus far in order to paint a better picture.
