Safe area: phones now run from 16:9 to 20:9, and a splash composed for one crops badly on the other — heads and plates get cut. I compose each image with the subject inside the area that survives every common ratio, and deliver the sizes rather than one file you stretch. No baked-in text: if the app name or a tagline is painted into the image, you cannot localise it, cannot fix a typo without redrawing, and it goes blurry on high-density screens. Text stays a layer in the app, art stays art. Weight: the splash is the first thing that loads, so it should not be a 4 MB PNG. Properly compressed these land well under 500 KB with no visible loss. Also worth deciding early: three apps means three looks that still read as one family — same lighting, same palette, different subject. Otherwise your customer app and delivery app look like different companies. On how I work: the imagery is AI-generated and then corrected by hand — that is how I can iterate quickly and why the price is what it is. If you need hand-illustrated artwork instead, I am not your best option and would rather say so now.
