I came from QA engineering, so the automated build-and-test gate is what I know deepest, and it's usually the worst-taught stage. Currently studying AZ-204, so Azure is fresh. TOOLS: Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines), plus Git CLI alongside the GUI - when a merge goes wrong the GUI rarely saves you. APPROACH: one real project end to end, exactly your flow. You write the code and click the buttons; I guide and explain why each stage exists. Given your ITSM/Release background I'd tie each stage to its governance equivalent - what an approval gate actually enforces, why tags matter for an audit trail. And we break things on purpose: failed build, merge conflict, bad deploy to roll back. Nobody learns release management from a pipeline that is always green.
