Project “sound emitting/playing blanket”
The project relates to designing a blanket that would play sound waves/vibration. The main goal of the blanket is to play sound waves as close to the body surface as possible. The sound transfer medium must allow for the wide sound spectrum to be delivered. Delivered sound/vibration wavelength includes infra, supra and audible spectrum with emphasis on facilitating effective sound wave/vibration transmission into the tissue. It is important not to shield or dampen the sound.
There are number of theoretical designs including inserted multiple flat speakers, metal sound conducting wires or tubes filled with liquid through which sound wave is played and so on.
The design may have one sound source with some kind of sound distributing system or multiple sound wave generating devices.
The projected blanket sizes are:
1 m x 1m and 1 m x 2 m.
Blanket must be easy to clean. Can be made of one or more layers and be easy to manufacture. Bluetooth and wire connectivity required. The project should include parts sourcing directions and possibly manufacturer.
