I have a small utility built from three moving parts—VB.NET, some legacy VBScript, and a Windows batch file—that should work together to process files on a local drive. Right now it stalls part-way through the file-handling routine and throws intermittent errors I can’t pin down. Your task is pure code debugging: locate the fault, clean up the logic, and get the full pipeline running smoothly from the batch call right through to the VB.NET endpoint. The scripts read, move, and rename files, so solid experience with FileSystemObject, [login to view URL], and robust path-handling is essential. A clean, commented version of the fixed code plus a brief note explaining the root cause is all I need to sign off.
