Good morning, I have over 30 years working experience with Microsoft Access. I started using it when it was first released by Microsoft in 1992! At the time I was an IT trainer in London and quickly became versed with teaching access and found I had a passion and ability for database design. For the past 25 years I have been supporting and upgrading a client, time recording and invoicing system that I wrote when I was living in New Zealand. While it was originally written in Access 2000, over the years I have upgraded the system so that it now runs in Access 365. As a result, I am well versed in changing existing database and adding tables, fields and queries to them. I have a thorough understanding of relational databases and as well as Access, I program and design databases in SQL and MySQL. I also designed and support a financial SQL database that calculates repayment and interest amounts. We are constantly updating and amending it as financial requirements change. I am completely meticulous about my work, coding, and calculations. In amending existing databases, it is essential to make sure that new fields added a 'dominoed' through all queries and forms that might be using them, and to check that referential integrity is not compromised if anything is changed.
