The word doing the work in your brief is "automatically", and Excel is not quite as automatic as it looks. Worth being straight about it. If the dashboard sits on PivotTables, pasting new rows does not update anything by itself. A pivot reads a fixed range and needs an explicit refresh, so the file will happily show last week's numbers while looking perfectly current. Two things fix that properly. The raw sheet becomes a real Excel Table so the range grows as you paste, and the refresh gets wired to happen on open rather than being something anyone has to remember. The one that actually bites people is slicers. A slicer only filters the pivots it is explicitly connected to. Add one and it looks like it controls the dashboard, but it is quietly filtering a single chart while the other tiles keep showing everything. So every slicer gets connected to every pivot deliberately, and that gets tested by filtering to one line and checking each KPI moves together. For Efficiency and OEE the definitions matter more than the formulas. Which downtime counts as planned is usually where two people get two different numbers.
