I have 26 separate PDF files that were exported directly from Plaintiff's patient management system into PDF. When combined into one PDF file (which is then too large for me to save) there are 1132 pages. First, I need them converted into Excel (which can be done with a free trial version of PDF Converter Professional 7). Second, the Excel files must be standardized (the conversion sometimes combines two headings into one column, and therefore does not always create the same number of columns; there are headers and foooters that must be deleted; and, there are patient names above each data set that get turned into rows at irregular intervals, and which must be deleted). Third, all of the sheets must be combined, and all of the 26 separate files combined into one standardized Excel spreadsheet.
In the end, I must be able to take all of the data from all of the 26 PDF's, and have it in once Excel spreadsheet so that is can be sorted, added, etc. Someone might know of a better way to achieve this goal, and if so, I am all ears (and no, I cannot re-export the data as it no longer exists; the PDF's are that still exists). The bottom line is that I need this ASAP -- meaning I have to have it back to me by the end of the day on Sunday, February 20, 2011!!!
Three final notes: (1) I will need to have the process described to me, or the macro or whatever provided, such that I can describe what was done to the Court and replicate it (if need be), so there may be a short phone call involved to ensure I understand what was done; (2) you will have to sign the attached confidentiality agreement saying these documents will not be shared with anyone, and will be destroyed upon completion of the project, and (3) Upon receipt, my assistant will perform 30 random spot checks by adding the figures on the page, and comparing it to the Excel spreadsheet -- they must match!!!
I can get you started immediately -- just need someone to grab this!!
